Launched in June 2014, Black Rock Farmers Market focuses on  the following: sustainability, educating its customers on the importance of good health, providing economic development opportunities to entrepreneurs and small businesses and making fresh local produce available to the community. In just two years, the Black Rock Farmers Market has become a proven and successful platform for small business acceleration and job creation for small and local businesses that have both increased revenue and expanded their operations through their participation in the market.  In its first year, the Black Rock Farmers Market averaged 590 customers weekly. In 2015 attendance grew by a 27% increase with an average of 750 customers weekly. read more

Karyn Leito

Co-Founder of the Black Rock Farmers Market Inc, a Member of the Bridgeport Farmers Market Collaborative and Chair of its Marketing Group, Director on the Black Rock NRZ Board and a Member of the Advisory Board for the Bridgeport Food Policy Council.  She is also a Freelance Photographer and Stylist.  In addition, Mrs. Leito has over 20 years experience in marketing, branding, advertising, design, creative event planning and fundraising for small businesses and non-profits.


Michelle Margo

Co-Founder  of the Black Rock Farmers Market Inc, Director on the Black Rock NRZ Board, Member of the Bridgeport Farmers Market Collaborative and a Member of the Advisory Board for the Bridgeport Food Policy Council.  She is also a Consultant for the Bridgeport Downtown Special Services District and is involved in re-vitalization projects for Downtown Bridgeport, Ms Margo has over 20 years experience in strategic execution, marketing, finance, and project management in a variety of roles within different organizations and industries that range from hedge funds to non-profits.

Black Rock Farmers Market is open Saturdays, June 10th - October 7th from 9AM - 1PM.
The market is easily accessible by car (exit 24 off I-95), or by train to Fairfield Metro Station, or by bike to 481 Brewster Street.
Black Rock Farmers Market is only 60 miles from NYC.
